Registered Nurse (RN) ICU - Night Shift
Location: Maywood, Illinois
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every third weekend
- Patient Care Level: ICU critical care
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- License and certification verifications must be dated within 30 days of start
Required Experience
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Health & Safety Requirements
- Fit test for respiratory protection required
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (includes specific substances; no THC)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (booster proof or exemption not accepted in Illinois)
- Proof of MMR vaccination or immunity
- Hepatitis B vaccination series required (titers not accepted)
- Influenza vaccine recommended (optional)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test required
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof required
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
Background & Compliance
- Criminal background check covering federal, nationwide, and county records from the last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma) required
- Drug and exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, GSA, NSO, and others, all dated within 30 days of start
- Completion of professional forms including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, conflict of interest disclosure, integrity and audit services form, and system access form
- Trinity Joint Commission CORE exam within the last year
- Skills checklist completed within the last year
Additional Notes
- All certifications and verifications must be uploaded with front and back images where applicable
- Documentation must be attached to candidate records prior to start
- Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement for this position
