Registered Nurse (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry) - Long Term Assignment
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Night Shift)
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units for a long-term assignment. The role involves providing direct patient care during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Cardiology experience
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Recent license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start.
- Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
- Skills checklist provided by the agency for clinical contractors.
- Fit test and respirator evaluation with physician signature.
- COVID-19 vaccination proof (including booster by Sept 2025), or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
- Proof of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B vaccination series (or appropriate titers), Tdap vaccine (declination accepted if no pediatric interaction).
- Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA test; if positive, chest x-ray within last year (for CT and certain states).
- Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended.
- Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC).
Professional and Background Checks
- Signed Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Confidentiality and Security Agreements.
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years) including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start.
- Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED.
- Exclusion screenings including EPLS, OIG, NSO, and OFAC within 30 days of start.
- Completion of standard I-9 form.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Trinity Integrity and Audit Services form signed shortly before start.
- Joint Commission CORE exam completed within the last year.
Additional Notes
- All required documents and certifications must be uploaded to the credentialing system prior to onboarding.
- Specialty competency and skills checklists are mandatory for clinical roles.
- This is a night shift position on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit.
