Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend (EOW)


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic, OBix, and communication tools like Voalte and Hugs is expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan.
  • Minimum of 1 year of NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience, with recent experience within the last year.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Current Tdap vaccination.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Professional Requirements

  • Submission of a current resume and skills checklist within the past year.
  • Two professional references.
  • Completion and submission of various background checks including:
    • Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check (last 7 years).
    • Social Security Number verification.
    • Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED).
    • Exclusion screenings (EPLS, OIG).
    • National Sex Offender Registry check.
  • Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, integrity and audit services agreements.
  • Completion of CORE exam within the past year.
  • System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
  • Respirator evaluation form signed by a physician.

Experience

  • Minimum years of experience in NICU nursing not explicitly stated; ensure to meet or exceed typical NICU RN experience standards.

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
