Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU
Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend (EOW)
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic, OBix, and communication tools like Voalte and Hugs is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan.
- Minimum of 1 year of NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) experience, with recent experience within the last year.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Current Tdap vaccination.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Professional Requirements
- Submission of a current resume and skills checklist within the past year.
- Two professional references.
- Completion and submission of various background checks including:
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check (last 7 years).
- Social Security Number verification.
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma/GED).
- Exclusion screenings (EPLS, OIG).
- National Sex Offender Registry check.
- Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, integrity and audit services agreements.
- Completion of CORE exam within the past year.
- System access form completed and uploaded one week before start.
- Respirator evaluation form signed by a physician.
Experience
- Minimum years of experience in NICU nursing not explicitly stated; ensure to meet or exceed typical NICU RN experience standards.
