Description

Dietitian Position - Silver Spring, Maryland

Job Summary

Perform nutrition assessments and provide medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process.
Deliver individualized nutrition care to patients within the scope of practice per the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary care team and engage in Performance Improvement projects.
Provide nutrition education to patients, families, medical and non-medical staff, and the community.

Employment Details

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Maryland.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), including experience within the last year.
Bachelor's degree or verification statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) requirements.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
