Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT Tech) - Long-Term Assignment

Location: Albany, New York
Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (also possible 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Travel: No local travelers; must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Job Description

• Scrub, monitor, and circulate during cardiac and vascular procedures
• On-call required: one night per week and one weekend per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cardiovascular Technologist license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, including experience within the last year
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Must provide license/certification verification dated within 30 days of start

Health and Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine booster proof required by September 2025 (or approved declination/exemption with agency letterhead)
• MMR vaccination proof (2 doses or IgG titer) required
• Fit test for N95 mask (specific to location requirements)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series must be started prior to start date (titers not accepted)
• Influenza vaccine is optional but recommended
• Tuberculosis screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA required; positive TB requires chest x-ray within last year or 5 years depending on region
• Varicella vaccination proof or IgG titer required
• Physical/health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year
• 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)

Professional and Background Requirements

• Resume and skills checklist within the past year
• Two professional references
• Signed confidentiality, conflict of interest, code of conduct, and integrity/audit forms
• Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check covering last 7 years, including SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest academic degree or diploma/GED
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion checks dated within 30 days
• National Sex Offender Registry check dated within 30 days
• System access form completed and uploaded one week before start
• Standard I-9 verification completed by agency
