Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room with required certifications and credentials to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Required Credentials and Certifications

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA only
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – As required per specialty/unit & facility

Licenses

• Nursys License Verification – Nursing license within 30 days of start
• License/Certificate Verification – Primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start, must be active in Louisiana

Testing and Checklists

• FMOLHS Skills Checklist – Unit specific, within one year prior to start, updated annually
• FMOLHS Competency Exam – Passing score of 80% or higher within one year prior to start
• FMOLHS Core Competencies – Includes HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; updated annually

Personal Health Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine – Proof or exemption accepted (optional)
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
• Hepatitis B – Proof of 3 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
• Influenza Vaccine – Seasonal, medical/religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation (optional)
• TB Test – Negative QuantiFERON blood test within 1 year or 2-step skin test; if positive, must provide MD clearance or proof of treatment
• Fit Test – N95 mask fit test within 1 year prior to start, updated annually
• Health Statement – Signed and dated within 1 year stating ability to work without restrictions
• Varicella – Proof of 2 immunizations, positive titer, or declination with signed statement
• Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) – Proof of vaccination within past 10 years or declination with signed statement
• Annual TB Questionnaire – Required within 6 months of start, with follow-up if positive

Professional Requirements

• FMOLHS Resume – Required for submission
• Criminal Background Check – Must include SSN address trace, county and national criminal checks, education and employment verification (last 5 years), driving record, and various federal watchlists; completed within 30 days prior to start
• Drug Screen – Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days prior to start
• FMOLHS HRIS Form – Required for submission
• FMOLHS Badge Photo – Forward-facing, well-lit JPEG photo with neutral background
• FMOLHS Contract Annual Education – Required annually

Summary

This position requires a highly qualified RN with current certifications, licenses, and health clearances to work in the Emergency Room at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Compliance with all credentialing, testing, and health requirements is mandatory prior to onboarding.
