Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technician (Travel)

Location: Evansville, Indiana
Facility: INEVA St Vincent Evansville (Ascension Health)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures.
• Provide quality images for radiologists and physicians to interpret.
• Shift times vary between 7:00-8:00 AM start and 3:30-4:30 PM end.

Required Credentials & Compliance

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified.
• Current License: Must have a valid license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
• Driver’s License/State ID: Must be valid and match address requirements.

Onboarding & Testing

• Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year and updated yearly with a minimum 80% score.
• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually.
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Fit Test: Required for all travelers; preferred prior to start but can be completed onsite.

Health & Immunizations

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, serological immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
• Influenza Vaccine: Recommended during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA: TB testing required with updated questionnaire annually.
• Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.

Professional Requirements

• Ascension Profile: Resume or professional profile submission required.
• Professional References: At least two qualifying references prior to first assignment.
• Criminal Background Check: Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks; updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Employment Verification: Third-party verification for the past seven years; updated annually or after breaks in service.
• Education Verification: Verification of relevant education within 90 days prior to start; updated if break in service > 90 days.
• Ascension Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations.
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment: Provided upon initial assignment and updates with extensions.

Additional Notes

• Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form is completed onsite.
• Pre-hire onboarding includes a 6-hour Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding with attestation.
• Exit survey to be completed within 72 hours after assignment completion.
