Job Opportunity: RN PCU (Travel)
Location: Evansville, Indiana
Facility: INEVA St Vincent Evansville (Ascension Health)

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Care for cardiac patients including management before and after cardiac procedures
- Manage Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients
- Provide care in Stroke overflow unit
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)
Required Exams & Training (Must be completed prior to start and updated as specified)
- Ascension Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Medical Surgical Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Color Vision Test (updated every 3 years)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; minimum 80%, updated yearly)
- NIH Certification (Group A yearly, Groups B-F every 2 years)
- Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80%, updated as per latest edition)
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, completed within one year of start, updated annually)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine: Recommended during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
- Fit Test: Required annually (preferred prior to start, can be onsite)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): Required with annual TB questionnaire; if positive, chest X-ray required
- Positive PPD: Negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire (optional but recommended)
- Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
Professional Requirements
- Resume/Profile submission
- At least two professional references prior to first assignment
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others (updated annually)
- Employment Verification for past 7 years (updated annually)
- Education Verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days prior to start)
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment documentation
- Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no filters)
- Ascension EPLS check (within 90 days prior to start)
Additional Notes
- Completion of all required documentation and exams is mandatory prior to assignment start
- Some optional items may be required by the unit leader after onboarding
- Flu vaccine declination requires mask wearing during flu season
- All certifications, licenses, and health requirements must be current and verifiable
