Travel RN ICU Position - Waco, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience required.
- Work in a conglomerate ICU unit covering medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients.
- Must be able to float between critical care service lines, including ICU and step-down units.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be AHA certified.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - Must be AHA certified.
- Current RN License - Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
- License/Certificate Verification - Primary source verification within 30 days prior to start.
- NIH Certification - Updated yearly or every 2 years depending on group.
- Ascension Specialty Exam - Completed prior to first assignment; updated every 3 years.
- Ascension Core Competencies - Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start and updated yearly.
- Ascension EKG Exam - Completed prior to start with a passing score.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation - Completed pre-hire.
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding - Completed onsite prior to assignment.
- Ascension Nova StatStrip - Pre-hire modules for non-allied positions.
- Ascension Epic Test-Out - Epic training and test results required.
- Ascension Skills Checklist - Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start; updated annually.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- MMR - Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
- Varicella - Documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history; no declinations accepted.
- Tdap - Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
- Hepatitis B - Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
- Influenza Vaccine - Recommended during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement.
- Positive PPD / Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire - Required with annual updates.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) - Required within specified timeframes.
- Fit Test - Annual respiratory fit testing required; preferred prior to start.
- Health Statement - Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment; updated annually.
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen - Completed within 30 days prior to start; updated annually.
Professional Requirements
- Resume/Profile - Required for submission.
- Two Professional References - Required prior to first assignment.
- Criminal Background Check - Includes SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, national sex offender check; completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check - Completed within 90 days prior to start.
- Education Verification - Verification of clinical education within 90 days prior to start.
- Employment Verification - Third-party verification for past 7 years; updated annually.
- Driver’s License/State ID - Must be current and valid; address must match licensing requirements.
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment - Provided upon initial assignment and updated with extensions.
Optional / Additional
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist - Optional for onboarding.
- Ascension Badge Photo - Optional.
- Ascension Exit Survey - Completed post-assignment.
- Ascension Name Change Document - If applicable.
