Job Opportunity: Radiology Technician

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital
Hospital System: Mass General Brigham
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Radiology Technician
• At least 1 year traveler experience preferred
• ARRT certification with RCIS required
• CVTs with RCIS will be considered
• Shift options: (3) 12-hour shifts or (4) 10-hour shifts
• Some on-call required, but no weekend or holiday shifts worked
• Expect 1-3 weeknights and possibly 1 weekend during the 13-week contract (not guaranteed)

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS Certification (AHA preferred; Red Cross accepted)
• ARRT Certification
• License/Certificate Verification: Professional license must be verified within 30 days of start; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted
• Fit Test: N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually; no religious exemptions
• MMR Vaccination or Immunity Proof: Documentation of measles, mumps, rubella vaccines or immunity via blood test
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative QuantiFERON/T-spot blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal Background Checks:

  • MGB Criminal Background Check (past 7 years)
  • Massachusetts CORI check
  • National Sex Offender Registry check
  • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid)
• Education Verification: Highest level of education verified
• Social Security Number Trace: Must cover past 7 years of addresses
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation

Preferred / Optional Credentials

• Hepatitis B Vaccination or Immunity Proof
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed
• Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, within last 10 years
• Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray: If applicable
• TB Symptom Survey: If positive PPD, completed prior to start and updated annually

Submission Requirements

• Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
• Two recent references (minimum one supervisor or above) in relevant skillset
• Skills checklist
• Candidate submission coversheet

Additional Notes

• No weekend or holiday shifts worked, but some call required
• Fit testing cannot be done onsite except on Martha’s Vineyard & Nantucket if assignment is extended
• All documentation must be current and compliant with Mass General Brigham policies and Massachusetts state regulations
