Job Opportunity: MRI Technician

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Facility: Massachusetts General Hospital (Mass General Brigham system)
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Work Schedule

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Return to Office (RTO) period: 12/21/2025 through 1/25/2026

Required Credentials & Certifications

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for onboarding. Acceptable certifications include AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military. Preference for AHA at some affiliated hospitals.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists): Required for onboarding.

Licenses

• Professional License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification required within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration. MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted.

Personal Health Requirements

• Fit Test (N95 Respirator): Required within 365 days of start date and updated annually. Must be completed on the MGB N95 Respirator Fit Test Record Form. No religious exemptions.
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Documentation of vaccination or proof of immunity required.
• TB Test: Documentation of TB skin test or negative blood test within 3 months of start date, updated if there is a break >6 months.
• Health Statement: Physician statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Sept 15 – April 30). No exemptions allowed.
• Hepatitis B: Strongly preferred but optional. Documentation of vaccination or immunity or declination accepted.
• Tdap Vaccine: Preferred, within 10 years and updated upon expiration.
• Respirator Medical Clearance (RMC) Attestation: Required if fit test is required.

Professional Requirements

• Criminal Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days prior to start date and updated if there is a break >6 months. Includes county and international searches as applicable.
• Massachusetts CORI Check: Required within 30 days prior to start date and updated if >6 month break.
• National Sex Offender Check: Completed within 30 days of start and updated annually.
• Exclusion Checks: Includes OIG, GSA, MassHealth, and NH Medicaid exclusion lists. Must be done within 30 days of start and annually.
• Education Verification: Verified through background check company for highest level of education.
• SSN Trace: Must be run with criminal check covering last 7 years of addresses/employment/school.

Submission Requirements

• Resume: Must include past 7 years of work experience with city and state. Required for submission.
• References: Two recent references required, at least one supervisor or above in the skillset.
• Skills Checklist: Required for submission.
• Candidate Submission Coversheet: Required for submission.

Additional Notes

• Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test.
• Some credentialing and health requirements must be updated if there is a break in assignment longer than 6 months.

This position offers a structured schedule with a defined contract length and requires comprehensive credentialing and health documentation consistent with Massachusetts General Brigham standards.
