Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a busy obstetrics department. Provide high-quality care for women and their newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Immediate start preferred but negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns
• Perform triage and non-stress tests (NSTs)
• Serve as second nurse at deliveries and manage overflow patients
• Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care
• Support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery

Unit Overview

• Fast-paced environment caring for women and newborn infants after childbirth
• Critical role in guiding patients through childbirth and postpartum journey
• Team-oriented setting with strong interdisciplinary collaboration

Requirements

• Must be labor-trained
• Certifications required: NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or above)
