Job Details

  • Shift: Nights
  • Ratios: 1:5-6
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
  • First-time Travelers: Accepted
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • On-call: Yes
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Local Radius Rule: 75 miles (locals not accepted)
  • Pending License: Not accepted
  • Return to Office Restrictions: 7 days within contract
  • Guaranteed Hours:
    • 36 hours/week for 3 shifts of 12 hours
    • 48 hours/week for 4 shifts of 12 hours
  • Contract Length: 12 weeks

Certifications Required

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, MAB, CPI) — check unit-specific requirements

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Licensure & Verification

  • Valid State License with Primary Source Verification
  • NURSYS Verification required for Missouri licenses
  • Illinois temporary licenses require approval; permanent license needed for extension

Health & Immunization

  • Physical Exam within 1 year
  • Fit Mask (N95) - annual renewal required; facial hair must allow proper fit
  • Tdap vaccine or declination (required every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2 negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold within 1 year)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer, vaccination, or medical exemption required
  • Hepatitis B declination required (vaccination not mandatory)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Sept-April)
  • Drug Testing within 1 year, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment

Background & History Checks

  • Criminal Background Check within 6 months (7-year search)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM quarterly checks
  • Employment Application
  • Education Verification (highest related education)
  • Professional References (2 required, supervisors preferred)
  • Skills Checklist (unit-specific, including oncology if applicable)
  • Fingerprinting required for Illinois long-term care or rehab units
  • State-specific exclusion and registry checks as applicable
