Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend, 36 hours
• Call Requirements: None (may occasionally be offered call)
• Float Requirements: Yes, to med-surg/telemetry units
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Unit Beds: 4

Experience & Skills

• Preferred Experience: 3-5 years critical care experience
• Must Have Skills:

  • ICU/critical care nursing
  • Assistance with intubation and ventilator management
  • Care coordination
  • Management of critically ill/unstable patients
  • Occasional off-hours recovery (PACU care)
• Preferred but Not Required:

  • CCRN certification
  • PACU experience

Education & Certifications

• Required:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
• Education Modules:

  • BLS/ACLS
  • Vent management
  • Central line care
  • Medication administration
  • Policies and procedures

Equipment & Technology

• Hemodynamic Monitoring (Philips: cardiac, respiratory, temp, ETCO2)
• Glucometer
• Plum Pumps 360
• PCA/Epidural (Sapphire pumps)
• Kangaroo pumps
• Telemetry
• EMR system: EPIC

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks (about 3 months)
