Job Opportunity: MRI Technician (Travel)

Location: Carmel, Indiana
**Contract Length: 12 weeks

Work Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call requirement: 1 night per week and every 4th weekend (Friday night to Monday morning)

Required Certifications and Credentials

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be American Heart Association (AHA) certified
• Current License and Primary Source Verification – Within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Ascension Core Competencies – HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year and updated yearly (minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts)
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation – 6 hours pre-hire education with signed attestation
• Ascension Badge Photo – Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations
• Driver’s License/State ID – Valid, must match address requirements for compact license states

Health and Immunization Requirements

• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
• Fit Test – Preferred prior to start, required annually; specific mask types required for WI and MI
• Hepatitis B – Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine – Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Positive PPD / Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire – Proof of positive IGRA or PPD results, chest x-ray within one year, and completed TB questionnaire; updated annually
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) – Required within 1 year and 30 days of start
• Varicella – Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted
• Tdap – Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
• Health Statement – Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen – Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually; includes testing for 12 specified drugs with MRO review if applicable

Professional and Employment Verification

• Ascension Profile (Resume) – Required for submission
• Two Professional References – Qualifying references completed prior to first assignment
• Criminal Background Check – Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender; completed within 30 days of first assignment and updated annually
• Exclusionary Lists (EPLS) Check – Run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Skills Checklist – Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Education Verification – Verification of relevant education within 90 days of start; official transcripts required if verification fails
• Confirmation of Assignment – Provided upon initial assignment and updates with extensions
• Employment Verification – Third-party verification for past 7 years; updated annually and rerun if break in service > 90 days

Additional Notes

• Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form completed onsite by facility
• TB Questionnaire must be updated annually
• Post-assignment evaluations and legal name change documentation may be required but are optional
