Travel RN Opportunity – Neuro/Trauma Specialty

Location: Portland, Maine
Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) – R6

Position Details

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Neuro / Trauma
Shift: Not specified
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience & Education

Minimum Experience: 2 years
Required Certifications: None specific, but Neuro IMC or ICU experience required
Preferred Skills: Neuro/Neurosurgical experience

Unit Information

Number of Beds: 9
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 3 patients
Patient Population: Neurosurgical patients including spinal fractures, craniotomies, aneurysm repairs, head bleeds, traumatic brain injuries, seizure disorders, multi-traumas
Equipment Used: Telemetry, ICP monitoring, externalized ventricular drains, epidurals, PCAs, Pleuravacs/chest tubes, tracheostomies
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Epic

Work Environment & Culture

Personality Fit: Proactive team player with a positive attitude; work-focused
Dress Code: Any scrub color allowed; must maintain a professional appearance

Position is travel contract for approximately 13 weeks
