Description

Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician (Travel)

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: On-call as needed, including weekends
Holiday: Availability required for any holiday during scheduled shifts

Required Credentials

RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Must be AHA certified
BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be AHA certified
Current license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
Completion of facility-specific onboarding and education attestations
Valid driver’s license or state ID (must not be expired and address must match requirements)

Health and Safety Requirements

Proof of immunizations and health screenings including:
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – documented proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof; no declinations accepted
- Tdap vaccine (valid for 10 years)
- TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
- Fit test for respiratory protection (annual update required)
Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
12-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Compliance and Verification

Criminal background check including Social Security trace, employment verification, OIG search, and national sex offender registry (completed within 30 days of assignment start, updated annually)
Employment and education verifications completed prior to assignment start and updated as required
Professional references (at least two) required before first assignment
Skills checklist and core competencies testing completed within one year of start and updated annually
Resume/profile submission required

Additional Notes

Medical Imaging Contract Worker Form completed onsite
Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background required
Post-assignment evaluations may be requested

This position requires strict adherence to credentialing, health, and compliance standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
