Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: OB/GYN Ultrasound Technician
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- Unit: General Ultrasound Technologist
- Work Setting: One ultrasound room in a radiology suite at an off-site office park
- Patient Population: Outpatient
- Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Bed Count: 1
- EMR System: EPIC
- Floating: Not required
- Rotating Shifts: Not required
Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum 1+ year of experience
- Skills:
- Ultrasound
- OB Credentialed
- OB Scanning (First, Second, and Third Trimester Exams)
- GYN and Transvaginal Exams
- Certifications: RDMS-ABD, OBGYN
Onboarding & Credential Requirements
Professional Credentials
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience (with city & state)
- 2 recent references (minimum 1 supervisor or above in skillset)
- Skills checklist
- Confirmation of assignment/POI form (for initial assignments and extensions)
- Criminal background check (within 45 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
- Massachusetts CORI background check (within 30 days prior to start, updated if >6 month break)
- Education verification (highest level achieved)
- SSN trace (past 7 years addresses/aliases)
- National sex offender registry check (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth & NH Medicaid; within 30 days prior to start and annually)
Personal Health History & Immunizations
- Fit Test (N95 respirator) within 365 days of start, updated annually
- MMR vaccination or proof of immunity
- Influenza vaccine (required during flu season Sept 15 - April 30)
- TB test documentation (skin test or blood test within 3 months of start, updated if >6 month break)
- Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start, updated if >6 month break
- Optional but preferred: Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity proof, Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required)
- Positive PPD requires negative chest x-ray documentation (optional)
- TB symptom survey (if positive PPD) (optional)
This position is ideal for an OB/GYN Ultrasound Technician with outpatient experience, who is credentialed and comfortable working a consistent weekday day shift in a single ultrasound room setting.
