Job Description

• Cardiac bedside monitoring
• Management of cardiac drips
• TR bands care
• Post heart catheterization care
• Care for stroke/neuro patients
• BIPAP overflow support

Important Information

• Flu season runs from October 1, 2024, through March 31, 2025.
• Flu vaccine exemptions/declinations are accepted, but mask-wearing is required at all times during flu season.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS (AHA required)
• ACLS (AHA required)
• Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Ascension Resume submission required
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within a year of start, updated yearly, minimum 80% score
• NIH Certification updated as required (Group A yearly, Group B-F every 2 years)
• Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80% (two attempts allowed)
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation
• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
• Ascension Nova StatStrip training completed prior to clearance
• Ascension Cerner Test-Out completed prior to clearance
• Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years
• Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Ascension Education Verification within 90 days of start
• Ascension Criminal Background Check Results including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Ascension EPLS check within 90 days of start, rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Employment Verification for past 7 years, updated annually
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment documentation

Required Personal Health History & Immunizations

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season with mask mandate if declined
• Fit Test: Required annually, preferred prior to start
• Positive PPD or IGRA with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within 30 days of start
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history; no declinations accepted
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Resume/Profile submission is mandatory
• At least two professional references required prior to first assignment
• Post-assignment evaluations and surveys may be requested
• Documentation such as driver’s license/state ID and badge photo required for submission
