Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Little Falls, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule & Work Details

• Workweek: 40 hours, Monday to Friday
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule: 3 days per week at one hospital, 2 days per week at another (travel between sites mid-day is rare)
• On-Call: None

Setting & Caseload

• Facility Type: Critical Access Hospitals offering outpatient, acute, and subacute swing bed rehabilitation services
• Caseload: Minimum 7–8 patients per day (mostly outpatient, some inpatient)
• Patient Age Range: From age 3 through advanced age
• Typical Diagnoses:

  • Swallowing disorders (acute and chronic)
  • Speech and language impairments
  • Neurological conditions (e.g., strokes, Parkinsonism)
  • Developmental delays
  • Dysphagia, fluency issues
  • Diet selection and recommendations
• Responsibilities: Independently perform evaluations and treatments in the above areas

Requirements & Preferences

• Certification: Must hold CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
• Experience:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Skilled in swallow evaluations and treatment
  • Skilled in outpatient swallow and language evaluation and treatment
• Not Required: FEES, trach/vent, and MBSS experience (these services are not offered at the facilities)
