Job Opportunity: RN Telemetry I

Location: Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: December 15 (Non-negotiable)
Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week

Required Credentials & Certifications

Licenses & Verification (Required for Submission)

• Current nursing license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start (including FACIS Questionnaire if disciplinary actions exist)
• Driver’s License or State ID (must not be expired, front and back, address must match records)
• Professional resume/profile
• Two professional references prior to first assignment
• Badge photo (forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)

Certifications (Required for Onboarding)

• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• NIH Certification (Group A updated yearly; Groups B-F every 2 years)

Health & Immunizations (Required for Onboarding)

• Ascension Color Vision test (completed prior to start, updated every 3 years)
• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• Influenza vaccine for flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Fit Test (preferred prior to start; required for all travelers; updated annually)
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing with negative chest X-ray if positive; TB questionnaire updated annually
• Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Testing & Competencies (Required for Onboarding)

• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; minimum 80% score, max 2 attempts)
• Ascension EKG Exam (passing score of 80%, max 2 attempts; updated edition as of Dec 1, 2023)
• Ascension Cerner Test-Out (test results and training checklist with signed attestation)
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical specialty-specific; completed within one year of start, updated annually)

Additional Onboarding Requirements

• Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding (completed onsite)
• Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training with attestation)
• Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules (required for non-allied positions)
• Ascension Criminal Background Check (including SSN trace, employment verification, OIG search, national sex offender check; updated annually or after >90 days break)
• Ascension EPLS check (within 90 days of start; rerun if >90 days break)
• Education verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start; rerun if >90 days break)
• Employment verification for past 7 years (updated annually or after >90 days break)
• Confirmation of assignment documentation (start/end dates matching system records)

Optional

• Ascension Unit Specific Checklist (uploaded by unit leader within a week)
• Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire (if applicable)
• Hiring Manager Evaluation (post-assignment)
• Legal documentation of name change

This position requires strict adherence to credentialing, health, and competency requirements prior to and during the assignment. The start date is fixed, and the contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
