X-Ray Technologist Position - Elgin, Illinois

Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by Illinois state law
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA)
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Proficient computer skills
• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment required
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT

Onboarding and Credentialing Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• Professional license and fluoroscopy permit (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
• Driver’s License or State ID
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification
• COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses plus booster) or completed declination
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer showing immunity
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity (declinations not accepted in some locations)
• Influenza vaccine or declination (required seasonally)
• Tdap vaccination (declinations not accepted in some locations)
• Varicella vaccination or immunity
• Annual TB test within one year of start date
• Annual Respirator Fit Test (must be completed prior to start for Illinois region)
• Annual TB Questionnaire
• Physical/Health Statement confirming clearance to work (completed annually or within 60 days of start)

Background & Verification

• National Criminal Background Check within one year of start date
• Social Security Card or Passport (for identity verification)
• Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion check
• Prime OIG check

Documentation & Testing

• Resume and two professional references required for submission
• Prime Skills Checklist required for submission
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum score 80%)
• Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
• Prime Badge Photo (clear headshot, JPEG format)
• Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
• Signed Job Description
• Onboarding Education Attestation (must be completed prior to clearance)
• Essentials Onboarding Packet completion
• Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP)

Additional Notes

• Name Verification Affidavit is optional and only required if there are discrepancies between credentials
• Drug screening (minimum 10-panel including THC) required within 60 days of start
• Some credentialing and testing requirements may vary by location or facility policies

This position is suitable for experienced X-Ray Technologists who meet licensure and certification requirements and are prepared to complete comprehensive onboarding and credentialing processes.
