Description

Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
  • Weekends: Every other weekend required
  • Call: No
  • Floating: As needed within scope
  • Locals Allowed: Yes
  • First Time Travelers Accepted: Yes
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Block Scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery (LD) experience
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • Additional Certifications (may be required depending on unit):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
    • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Licensure: Primary source verification of state license required

Background and Compliance

  • Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Education verification required; US equivalency documentation if education completed outside the US
  • Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • References: 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Tdap vaccine or signed declination
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (various acceptable options)
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (3 doses or declination form)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Photo for badge
  • Confidentiality statement, crime disclosure statement, and potential conflict of interest disclosure form must be reviewed and completed

Competency Exams

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • General competency exam required

This position is ideal for RNs with labor and delivery experience looking for a travel contract in Washington with a night shift schedule and every other weekend commitment.
