Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Damariscotta, Maine
Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)

Position Details

• Specialty: Inpatient Physical Therapy with some outpatient float
• Shift: Day shift
• Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours, up to 40 hours before overtime applies
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year preferred
• Float Requirements: May float to outpatient therapy and possibly Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) depending on census and collaboration

Patient Population & Unit Information

• Unit: Inpatient Med Surge, ICU, OB, ASU, ED, SNF
• Patient Types: Post-op hip and knee replacements, failure to thrive, generalized weakness
• Patient Load: 8-10 patients per day
• Equipment: Standard inpatient equipment including lifts
• EMR System: EPIC

Required Certifications & Education

• CPR certification required

Desired Skills & Personality Traits

• Prefer experience in inpatient physical therapy
• Positive attitude, organized, strong communication skills
• Team player and efficient worker

Dress Code

• Scrubs suggested but not required (any color acceptable)
• No open-toed shoes, jeans, or strong scents

Additional Notes

• No weekend hours or call requirements specified
• Overtime only paid after 40 hours worked
• Staff sent home will be paid up to 36 hours; staff choosing to leave early will not be paid for those hours
