Description

Pharmacist Travel Position - Tucson, Arizona

Specialty: Pharmacist

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Shift: 8:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Schedule: Starting 12/26/25, rotation of 7 shifts on / 7 shifts off
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages, hospital employees, and designated hospital areas.
Practice in compliance with state/federal and DEA laws, TJC Standards, and hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications.
Participate in Medication Safety initiatives.
Manage patient profiles and monitor for adverse drug reactions, including reporting.
Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
Maintain narcotic accountability.

Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of hospital experience in a high acuity acute care setting.
Experience with NICU patients.
Experience with cardiac cases, including Impella and ECMO.

Orientation

Orientation/training to start by 11/26/25.
Orientation schedule is flexible and will be arranged between the director and the candidate.
