Travel Med Surg RN - Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Kingston, Pennsylvania

Facility: Wilkes-Barre General Hospital (Community Health Systems)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, Every Other Week (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH)
Unit Size: 21 beds
Facility Size: 352 beds

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 1-2 years of recent travel nursing experience required
Telemetry experience required
BLS certification required
Cerner experience preferred
Blocked scheduling NOT available

Patient Care & Responsibilities

General medical administration of medical and nursing care
Remote telemetry monitoring with monitor tech oversight
Post-operative patient care
Patient ratio typically 1:6, with surge plan up to 1:7
May float to Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit

Additional Information

Monthly department volume: 585 patients
Types of services: General Med Surg, Post-Op Surgical, Bariatrics, Oncology
48-hour guarantee requests are acceptable if indicated in the submittal body
