Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS & PALS preferred
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Job Description

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within RN scope of practice
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
• Typically reports to a manager or head of unit/department

Education

• Associate's degree in nursing required
• Certified as a registered nurse
