Physical Therapist - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Glendive, Montana

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP (minimum two weeks from offer for compliance)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (0800-1700)
• Ratios: 1:6 patient to therapist ratio
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• First-timers: Not accepted
• Weekend Requirement: None (position is M-F)
• On-call: No
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
• Block Schedule: May be accommodated (likely M-F)
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
• License:

  • Must have BLS and State License
  • Compact License accepted
  • Pending license not accepted (MT state license takes 8 weeks to obtain)
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No RTO within first two weeks due to orientation; limit RTO to one week
• Guaranteed Hours: Yes

  • 8 or 10-hour shifts: 40 hours guaranteed weekly
  • 3 shifts of 12 hours: 36 hours guaranteed weekly
  • 4 shifts of 12 hours: 48 hours guaranteed weekly

Certifications & Requirements

• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • State License verification (primary source)
• Additional Certifications (as applicable):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • Tech Certification Verification (National)
• Competency Exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • Competency Exam (as applicable to profession/specialty)
• Orientation: Annual Safety Manual Acknowledgement required

Health & Background Requirements

• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start (updated annually)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Health Documents:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates required)
  • Immunizations or positive titers for:

    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B
    • Varicella
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year of start
  • Flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (Dose 1, fully vaccinated, and booster required; exemptions accepted)
  • COVID seasonal vaccination preferred but not required
