Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele Nights)
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Chest Pain Center
- RN/MS/Tele
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs (may float between like units)
- Locals not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
- Pending license not accepted
Patient Ratios
- 1:5 to 1:6
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually)
Competencies & Testing
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (annual renewal required)
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) with remediation and multiple attempts allowed; failure after 3 attempts results in cancellation
- Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for multiple units including ICUs, Med Surg, Tele, Step Down, Cath Lab, Radiology, and others
Scheduling & Hours
- Weekend requirement every other weekend
- Call off policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment allowed; after that, all contracted hours are guaranteed
- Block scheduling accommodation possible

Background & Health Requirements
- Background check required within 6 months of start (includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable)
- Convictions within the last year or active cases disqualify candidate
- Education verification or diploma/transcript required
- Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual renewal required)
- Immunizations required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within last 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles) - titer or 2 vaccines
- Mumps - titer or 2 vaccines
- Rubella - titer or 2 vaccines
- Hepatitis B - vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination
- Varicella - titer or 2 vaccines
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days required
- Flu vaccine required year-round; medical or religious exemptions require facility approval and must be renewed annually
- COVID-19 vaccine not required but documentation accepted

- Corporate Code of Conduct Acknowledgement
- Policy Tech Access Acknowledgement
- Professional Appearance Acknowledgment
- Parking Registration (if driving)
- Computer Use Acknowledgement
- Flu Policy review
- TB Screening form
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, no large earrings, face jewelry, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless religious)
- Modules must be completed by Monday prior to start via Workday
- Return staff policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
- System contract limit: 2 contracts max (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning
Additional Notes
- Interview availability required upon submission
- Return staff and contract limits are strictly enforced
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions are at manager’s discretion
This position offers an opportunity to work in a large, well-established Level III Trauma Center with a supportive environment for travel nurses experienced in MS/Telemetry care.
