Nursing Contract Opportunity - Herrin, Illinois

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call required: up to 2 weeknights and 2 weekend days per week
• Call back time: 45 minutes
• Overtime available
• Float to other facilities within the organization as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube placement, bronchoscopy, esophageal stent placement, and pain procedures
• Administer moderate sedation
• Use EPIC for charting
• Admit and discharge patients in the perioperative area
• Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible parties
• Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Manage conflict professionally to contribute to a healthy workplace environment
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
• Participate in continuing education
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification

Experience

• Proficient in endoscopy procedures as listed above
• Experience with moderate sedation and perioperative care processes
