Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Harrison, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Call: No
Floating: As needed within scope
Start Date: ASAP
Locals Allowed: No
Radius Restriction: 50 miles
First Time Travelers Accepted: Yes
EMR System: Meditech
Block Scheduling: Allowed
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Required Documentation & Compliance
Identification & Verification
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
- Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
- Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
- Criminal background check within 3 months of start including education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification
Certifications
- BLS: ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted (AHA required for this facility)
- ACLS: ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted (AHA required for ICU, CCU, ER, OB, RRTs, L&D, Surgery, Respiratory)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): As required, AHA only for ICU pediatric units
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required for L&D, OBGYN, Nursery
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): As required
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for Labor & Delivery unit
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) for Behavioral Health roles
- State License Verification (Primary Source)
- NURSYS Verification for all RNs
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) for substitutes
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Initial physical exam, updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Annual fit mask test prior to start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination required
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually; if positive, clear chest X-ray and health department clearance required
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable); facility requires drug screen within 2 weeks of start including marijuana
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); unvaccinated candidates must wear masks on shift
- COVID-19 vaccination: Fully vaccinated (two-dose series) or approved medical/religious exemption required
COVID-19 Exemptions
- Medical and Religious exemption forms available; require physician statement and committee approval
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Performance evaluation if worked with the system over 1 year
- Employment application/resume
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Internal evaluation if worked with the system over 2 years
This position requires adherence to all facility and system-specific compliance, background, certification, and health documentation standards prior to start.
