EMT Travel Job Opportunity - Texas (Lindale)

Position Overview

• Specialty: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
• Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
• Location: Lindale, Texas
• Shift: 24-hour shifts (6 AM to 6 AM), working 24 hours on followed by 48 hours off
• Schedule: Two shifts per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide emergency medical treatment to patients injured in accidents or with medical conditions.
• Operate an advanced life support ambulance and administer care.
• Respond to life-threatening, emergency, and non-emergency calls.
• Coordinate with physicians to develop patient care plans.
• Lead a team of responders in triage, treatment, and patient transport.
• Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of emergency medical equipment and vehicles.
• Assist in station cleaning and maintain inventory supplies.
• Collaborate with firefighters, law enforcement, and other personnel at emergency scenes.
• Complete required state and local documentation and administrative tasks.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Respond to multiple casualty incidents and disasters, providing medical oversight and triage.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification updates.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local compliance and policy requirements.

Patient Population

• Treat all types of emergencies from pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Essentially functioning as an "ER on wheels."

Experience & Training

• Experienced paramedic skills required.
• Only one day of academy and one 24-hour ride-out before working independently.
• Paramedic/EMT required on every truck.

Certifications & Licenses Required

• High School Diploma
• Valid Texas Driver’s License
• EMT-Paramedic License in Texas
• PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support) certification required (can be obtained off the clock through the employer)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• BLS (AHA only)
• PALS (AHA only)
