• Patient Population: Neurological and cardiac conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure, acute stroke)
• Unit Size: 42 beds
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6

Work Schedule

• Holidays as required
• Every other weekend
• 36 or 48 hours per week

Job Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for complex neuro-cardiac patients
• Collaborate with cardiologists and neurologists to maintain best practice standards
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH or Red Cross certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years nursing experience
  • At least 1 year experience in the specialty field
  • Will consider 18 months experience under highest professional license
