Description

Job Opportunity: Sonographer (Cardiovascular with Vascular Experience)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team in patient care.
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
  • Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Work schedule includes 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
  • Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving).
  • Limited time off allowed between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a cardiovascular sonographer with vascular experience.
  • At least 1 completed travel contract.

  • Skills checklist (completed within 1 year)
  • License verification
  • Copies of required certifications
  • One supervisory reference
  • Proof of taxable address (examples: driver’s license, utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, insurance statement, voter registration, bank statement, auto insurance, or tax return)

Certifications Required

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
  • CCI - RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System

  • EPIC

Additional Information

  • OT/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x
  • Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with 2-hour minimum
  • On-call pay: $9/hr
  • Charge/Precept pay: $6/hr

This position offers same-day interviews for qualified candidates.
