Job Opportunity: Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Temporary (Contract)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide speech therapy services to home health clients.
• Deliver direct patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Participate in developing comprehensive patient care plans.
• This is a home health position requiring travel to patient homes.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Speech and Language Pathologist experience in Home Care.
• Valid Massachusetts Speech and Language Pathologist license required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Clinical Fellow candidates accepted.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle (firm requirement).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation equipment, including language/communication aids, devices, and wheelchairs.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location (no local candidates within 50 miles considered).

Certifications

• BLS (AHA) certification required.

• Work history relevant to the position.
• Skills checklist updated within the last year.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years.
• All licenses and certifications must be uploaded with the profile.
• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no “anytime” availability accepted).
• Requested time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 5 days of time off allowed.

Additional Notes

• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours.
• Holiday coverage required for two of the following periods:

  • Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and the Friday/weekend after
• No call, call-back, or charge responsibilities for this role.
