Registered Nurse (RN) - Saginaw, Michigan (Temp)

Job Description

• Work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies and procedures.
• Direct co-workers in implementing the patient’s plan of care.
• Provide nursing care using the Nursing Process:

  • Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately.
  • Develop and implement plans of care based on patient assessments.
  • Evaluate patient responses and update plans of care.
  • Oversee delegation of specific patient care tasks to unit staff.
• Patient population includes General Med/Surg (Oncology, Obstetrics, Hospice, Medical & Surgical patients).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Med/Surg Observation experience required.
• Recent traveler experience highly preferred.
• Must have current Michigan RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required and must be active.
• Candidates must provide:

  • Work history.
  • Skills checklist current to within 1 year.
  • 2 supervisory reference forms from the last 2 years.
  • Licensure and certifications.
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for contracts of 1-13 weeks.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.

Patient Ratio

• Target ratio: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients, up to 1:7.

• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; no scheduling changes will be approved after an offer is made.
