Description

Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
  • NH license required; license pending accepted if obtained by start date
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Travelers within 50 miles considered locals (rate adjustment applies)
  • Must not have been a former employee of any facility associated with the health system

Job Details

  • Visits per day: 6
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8)
  • Call: None
  • Float: None
  • Weekend: Occasional as needed
  • Orientation: 10 hours
  • Scrubs: Any
  • Unit Systems: Epic (medication, documentation, communication)

Certifications & Competencies

  • ACLS (AHA Provider only)
  • BLS (AHA Provider only)
  • PALS (AHA Provider only)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) preferred
  • Tech Certification verification as applicable
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (OSHA education)
  • State License copy and verification (including NH Med Tech License for GI/Endo Techs if no NH board license)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (valid for 2 years)
  • Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for certain units
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (internal requirement)
  • Competency Exam (internal requirement)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required within 48 hours of contract signing for specific units

Background Checks & Authorizations

  • Background check within 30 days of start including:
    • Social Security Verification
    • National Sex Offender Registry
    • National Criminal Search
    • FACIS L3
    • Education Verification (High School acceptable for CNAs)
    • Criminal county searches (excluding NH counties)
    • NH State Police Search and NH Criminal Background Report
    • BEAS (Bureau of Elderly and Adult Services) Background Report for NH placements
    • Motor Vehicle Background Check (for Home Health, Hospice, Visiting Nurse roles)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • SSA Release required ASAP
  • NH Statewide Release required
  • MA CORI required if lived/worked in MA in last 7 years

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
  • Fit Mask test annually (N95 or equivalent masks)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (medical/religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or equivalent)
  • TB Questionnaire required for all travelers
  • Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
    • Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
  • Drug screen (10 panel) within 14 days prior to start (7-day grace period if pushed)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination required during October 31 – April 1 period (medical/religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance required (virtual questionnaire reviewed by licensed professional)

Documentation & Other Requirements

  • Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be a supervisor)
  • Employment application required
  • Skills checklist required
  • Internal evaluation required annually for travelers with 1+ year tenure
  • Photo for badge (passport style, jpeg)
  • Proof of auto insurance required for Home Health, Hospice, and Visiting Nurse roles
  • Compliance attestation required upon clearance
  • Facility-specific waivers for Hepatitis B, Flu (medical and religious), and Tdap as applicable
  • New Hampshire BEAS State Registry Results required for NH placements (candidate completes portion 30 days before start)

Notes

  • Candidates cannot start with pending background or drug screens (except NH county searches which are not required)
  • Pass/fail EKG/Dysrhythmia testing is time sensitive and required for specific units
  • Facility does not require annual updates for physical exam, drug screen, or background check, but expiration dates must be tracked
  • Candidates with religious or medical exemptions must complete specific waiver forms and provide supporting documentation for approval

This position offers a structured schedule with no call or float requirements, occasional weekends, and a supportive environment for first-time travelers. The role requires compliance with extensive background, certification, and health documentation standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
