Position Details

• Specialty: Rehab/Neuro RN
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: Every third weekend, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Call Requirements: None
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Unit: TBI-CVA (Traumatic Brain Injury - Cerebrovascular Accident)
• Floor: 7th Floor
• Number of Beds: 28
• Patient Ratios:

  • Day Shift: 1:6
  • Night Shift: 1:8
• Patient Population: Spinal cord injury and brain injury patients
• Equipment Used:

  • Tube feeding
  • Ventilators
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Alaris IV pumps
  • Hoyer lifts
  • Kangaroo pumps
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Suction devices
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner and ITW

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Skills:

  • Must have: Tracheostomy care and G-tube management
  • Preferred: Medical-Surgical experience
• Float: Must be willing to float to other units within the facility

• Dress Code: Galaxy Blue scrubs only; hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and any attire outside the uniform are not allowed
