Description

Rehabilitation Therapy Contract Position

Location: Waimea, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform physical therapy (PT) evaluations and treatments across multiple settings:
- Inpatient (25%): acute care, ICU, skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Outpatient (75%)
Work involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, including:
- ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF)
- Occasional work in OB
- Extensive work in hospital-based outpatient PT clinic
Patient load ranges from 5 to 15 patients per day, with sessions every 30-45 minutes and one-hour new evaluations
Requires independence and thorough care approaches for a variety of outpatient diagnoses and inpatient mobility progression, including discharge planning
Must obtain Hawaii PT license as soon as possible

Additional Information

Holiday pay is based on hours worked on the following days:
- New Year’s Day
- Independence Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification required
