Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Description
- Role: Neuro IR Tech
- Shift: 4x10 hour days
- Backup: Once a week, may be required to stay past scheduled shift to complete procedures
- Procedures Performed:
- Diagnostic cerebral angiograms including coiling, stenting, embolizations, stroke thrombectomies
- Venous samplings
- Operating room angiograms
- Lumbar punctures
- Other neurovascular related procedures
- Equipment: Siemens Bi-plane for neurovascular image acquisition and post-processing
- Scrub Experience: Not required
- Daily Caseload: 6-8 procedures per technologist
- Rooms: 3
- Team: Work with neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons
- Pediatric Procedures: Some pediatric cases performed
Requirements
- Certifications:
- ARRT Radiography (R) and BLS required
- ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year required
- First-timers: Accepted if 2 years of experience
- Skills: C-Arm and Contrast experience required
- Weekend Requirement: Every 5th or 6th Saturday, 0800-1600 as needed
- On-Call: Weekday call 1600-0730, weekend call Friday 1600 through Monday 0730
- Floating: Allowed within service line, no floating to sister facilities
- Local Radius Rule: No locals accepted within 75 miles
- Pending State License: Accepted
- Return to Orientation (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 3 shifts per 13 weeks

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
- Criminal Background Check (7-year search, statewide, nationwide, international if applicable)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG quarterly checks
- Education verification of highest degree related to profession
- State-specific background checks (Missouri and Illinois as applicable)
- Professional license primary source verification (Missouri licenses via NURSYS)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CPI/MAB, NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and unit-specific exams
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask testing annually (N95 required)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray with yearly questionnaire
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must remain valid throughout assignment
- Facility-specific documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, latex allergy questionnaire, confidentiality form, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies
- Employment application and professional references (2 required)
- Skills checklist and performance evaluations as applicable
Additional Notes
- The department performs some pediatric procedures; candidates should be comfortable with this population.
- The technologist will operate advanced imaging equipment and assist with neurovascular procedures but will not be required to scrub.
- On-call and weekend coverage are part of the job expectations.
- Floating is limited to within the service line only.
- Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted for this travel contract.
- Pending state licenses are accepted, facilitating quicker start times.
This position is ideal for a Radiology Technologist with neuro-interventional experience seeking a travel contract in a high-acuity, teaching hospital environment with advanced procedural exposure.
