LTC RN Position - Bigfork, Minnesota

Job Details

• Specialty: Long-Term Care Registered Nurse (LTC RN)
• Location: Bigfork, Minnesota
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Dayshift and Nights available
• Unit: Long-Term Care (LTC) - Two units: Tamarack (20 beds) and Aspen Memory Care Unit (20 beds)
• EMR System: Point Click Care

Requirements

• Certifications: Minnesota state licensure (CNA/LPN/RN), BLS required
• Training: Dementia training required prior to start
• Experience: First-time travelers are welcome
• Orientation: RN/LPN - 3 shifts; CNA - 2 shifts on each unit

Work Environment

• Staffing Ratios:

  • RN/LPN: One on each unit during the day; one for both units at night
  • CNA: Up to 3 per unit during day/evening shifts; night shift has 1 CNA in Tamarack and 2 CNAs in Aspen
• Charge Nurse: No charge nurse role
• Physicians: 4-5 private practice physicians rounding daily
• Floating: No floating between units
• Scrub Color: Any scrub color allowed
• Weekend Requirement: Typically every other weekend, possibly more
• Holidays: Work required on holidays
• Shift Times:

  • RN/LPN: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • CNA: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 2:15 PM - 10:45 PM, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Patient Population

• Memory care and long-term care patients, including those with dementia

Additional Notes

• Building a culture of teamwork; candidates must contribute positively
• Flexibility required as assignments can change during shifts
• Days and weekend rotation expected
