Description

Travel RN - Perioperative Nurse

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Perioperative / Surgical

Job Details

Shift: 7 AM - 3 PM (may occasionally work past 3 PM)
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience required
Minimum 1 year recent experience in a surgical setting
5 years surgical scrub experience required
Current Louisiana RN License
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required from AHA

Responsibilities

Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical interventions
Utilize nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
Ensure effective communication with patients, staff, physicians, anesthesia providers, and other hospital departments
Deliver quality care safely and efficiently, considering the functional/developmental age of patients (infants to older adults)
Maintain a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
No floating outside of the Operating Room (OR)
