Description

Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Position: Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Schedule: Days, Monday to Friday
  • Shift Length: 8-10 hours per day, minimum 32 hours per week
  • Shift Start: No earlier than 7:30 AM
  • Shift End: No later than 6:00 PM
  • Start Dates Available: 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6
  • Patient Population: Pediatric outpatient with a wide variety of diagnoses
  • Required Skills: Acute care, outpatient clinic, pediatrics
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • New graduate OTs with certification and prior pediatric experience as a COTA will be considered
  • Traveler’s primary residence must be more than 25 miles from the facility

Requirements & Compliance

Background Checks

  • Criminal background check within 1 year of start, including:
    • 7-year search
    • Social Security trace
    • County and nationwide checks
    • Sex offender registry
    • Education verification (not required for CNAs)
    • International searches if candidate has lived/worked outside the US
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM excluded provider check required
  • HHS/OIG excluded provider check required
  • Transcript/Diploma acceptable in lieu of third-party education verification
  • Minnesota DHS Net Study Fingerprint required (no start with fingerprints pending)
  • Candidates must complete MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
  • Fingerprinting must be completed within 2 weeks of registration

Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA required for some roles, not specifically required here
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA required for some roles, not specifically required here
  • Other certifications as applicable

Licensure & Verification

  • Primary source verification of state license required
  • Education verification required (except CNAs)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask (N95) required
  • Tdap vaccination required (no religious declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per Minnesota state guidelines
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - positive titer or 2 vaccines required (time sensitive)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Varicella - positive titer or 2 vaccines required (time sensitive)
  • Flu vaccine or declination required annually (mask required if declined)
  • COVID-19 vaccine preferred; medical/religious exemptions accepted

Other Requirements

  • Two references from recent employers within 2 years required
  • Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates
  • Competency exams as applicable by profession, updated annually
  • Facility-specific dress code and photo for badge required
  • Confidentiality agreement must be signed prior to start
  • Education modules to be completed during orientation (approx. 16 hours)

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and procedures
  • Candidates must return badges to manager on last day of assignment
  • Drug testing not required for client clearance but 9-panel test within 1 year of start is acceptable
