Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Temporary Position
Location: Lansing, Michigan

Job Description
- Perform all aspects of nuclear medicine patient exam activities at a technical level, producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Specialize in diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging studies.
- Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and meet individual needs.
- Operate and maintain nuclear scanning imaging equipment to ensure proper function.
- Prepare and measure radioactive isotopes for diagnostic imaging as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
- Administer medications/substances within scope of practice as prescribed.
- Complete quality assurance processes and practice radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Comply with The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws and protocols.
- Maintain documentation, logs, charts, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Ensure adequate supply of consumables for quality testing.
- Perform routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment according to protocol.
- May assist other radiology areas as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) experience required.
- Certification Requirements:
- ARRT
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- References are not required.
- Skills checklist within one year of application required for RN specialties; preferred but not required for other professions.
- Michigan license verification required for nurses (not applicable here).
- Physical copies of certifications only required if specifically listed.
- Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
