Job Opportunity: Multi-Registered Ultrasound Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

• Shift: 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 6:30 AM), Tuesday through Friday
• Schedule: 4 days a week, 9 hours per day (4x9 shift, 36 hours total)
• Attire: Wine scrubs

Job Requirements

Education

• Minimum: Associate degree in Allied Health
• Area of Study: Ultrasonography
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited program

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Must hold a minimum of two ARDMS-approved registries in practiced specialties, including:

  • Abdomen
  • OB/GYN
  • Vascular Technology (required)
  • Echo (preferred but not required)
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Neurosonology
  • Breast
• CPR Certification (American Heart Association) required
• Active membership in ARDMS and ARRT in Ultrasound
• Required license: ARDMS
• Echo Registry preferred for third shift candidates

Experience

• Experience required in at least two ultrasound modalities

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, national and multi-state checks, and sex offender registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Fingerprinting required only for specific units (not required for this position)

Certifications

• ACLS (AHA) required for RNs (not applicable here)
• BLS (AHA) required for all clinical positions
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) as applicable to specific units (not required here)
• State license verification (Ohio) required
• NIH Stroke Certification required for RNs in certain units (not applicable here)

Health and Safety

• Physical exam within 2 years, indicating fitness to work and free of communicable diseases
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual questionnaire if past positive)
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (vaccination series, immune titer, or declination)
• Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months, including marijuana panel
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

• I-9 and E-Verify attestation required
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Proof of name change if applicable
• Residency declaration form if using a Compact Nursing license
• Education verification (primary source) required
