Ultrasound Technologist (Temp) - Waterloo, Iowa

Job Overview

• Employment Type: Temporary
• Location: Waterloo, Iowa
• Shift: 2nd shift, working independently (must be comfortable and proficient)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Average number of scans per day: 15
• Patient Types: General, OB/GYN, and Vascular
• Scan Experience Required:

  • Abdomen, small parts
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester OB (non high-risk) for dating, measurements, BPPs, and fetal anatomy scans
  • Transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging
  • Upper and lower venous Doppler
  • Lower arterial Doppler
  • ABIs, Aorta duplex, Carotid arterial Doppler
  • Hepatic and renal Doppler imaging exams
• Preferred (not required) experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound (ULT) experience
• ARDMS certification with RVT credential required (experience in all vascular scans)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Clinical screening required (405 area code)
• Comfortable working independently on 2nd shift
• Accepting first-time travelers with 2 years of ULT experience

• One supervisory performance evaluation/reference from within the last 2 years

Additional Notes

• Radius rule: minimum 50 miles, no locals
• Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited time off allowed during late November and late December/early January holiday periods
