Job Opportunity: Technologist (MRI)
Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) on patients using advanced technical equipment and administer contrast materials as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare scan room and patient for examination.
- Draw up and administer IV or oral contrast as needed.
- Perform equipment warm-up and enter patient data and scan parameters.
- Review patient data and previous exams; screen patients for contraindications.
- Transport and position patients appropriately for the exam.
- Monitor for allergies and inject IV contrast as necessary.
- Conduct scans with attention to positioning and image quality.
- Use correct protocols, coils, restraints, and materials during scanning.
- Ensure proper marking and orientation of images.
- Prepare records for radiologist, ensuring completeness and correct image order.
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of MRI technologist experience.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA required.
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required.
- Candidates must submit all scheduling requests at time of application; no scheduling changes allowed after offer.
- Must provide:
- Work history.
- Skills checklist current within 1 year relevant to MRI specialty.
- Two supervisory reference forms from within the last two years.
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered).
Additional Information
- Dress code: Matching scrubs of any color.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: Epic.
- Facility offers a broad range of primary and specialty care, including 24-hour emergency and Level II trauma care.
This position is ideal for MRI technologists with Siemens experience seeking a temporary assignment in Michigan.
