Job Description

  • MRI Certified Technologist with pediatric experience required
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Experience with Magnet GE and Siemens preferred
  • Start Date: ASAP (compliance process takes 2-3 weeks)
  • Shift: Monday - Friday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Required Experience: 2+ years
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Floating within scope may be required depending on facility needs
  • No floating to sister facilities
  • Local candidates accepted
  • Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: max 7 days; if 7 consecutive days, add 1 week to contract
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Required Credentials & Certifications

  • MRI Certification (National Tech Cert Verification)
  • State License (copy of professional license required before start)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA only, valid and not expiring within 30 days of start
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA only, valid and not expiring within 30 days of start
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA only, valid and not expiring within 30 days of start
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – AHA/AAP only, valid and not expiring within 30 days of start
  • CHEMO certification (if applicable based on unit/specialty)
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (if applicable)
  • NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP if applicable)

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Background Check within 30 days of start covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check required
  • HHS/OIG check required
  • Education Verification (transcript/diploma accepted if verification pending)

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 30 days of start (must include Latex Allergy Information)
  • Fit Mask Test (N95 1860 or 1870+), valid within 1 year and updated annually; PAPRs accepted
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (TD and DTap not accepted)
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 60 days of start or Chest X-Ray if past positive
  • TB Questionnaire required for all candidates
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values and reference ranges
  • Hepatitis B Series and Quantitative Hep B Surface Antibody Titer with lab values; declination form accepted if applicable
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer with lab values (LabCorp exceptions apply)
  • 10 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start (must include marijuana)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption form required for 2025-26 season
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or declination required for tracking for 2025-26 season
  • Latex Questionnaire (if not included in physical exam)

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Photo for badge (must meet specific guidelines; completed immediately after signing)
  • Completion of required training modules prior to start (Cornerstone Modules for certain roles; Workramp Modules for others)
  • Medication Study Guide (for nursing roles)
  • Emergency Contact information
  • TB Exposure/PPD Conversion Record if applicable
  • Religious or Medical Flu Exemption forms if applicable

Additional Notes

  • Two professional references dated within the past two years required (preferably supervisors/managers)
  • Pass/Fail Medication Calculation Exam at orientation (must score 84% or higher, 2 attempts allowed; not required for per diem)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
  • Color Blind Testing required (can be completed online or as part of physical)
  • Competency Exam required
