Job Details
Schedule:
- 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (07:00 AM - 05:30 PM)
- Rotating days off
- Call requirements:
- Weekend call every 6 weeks (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Weekday call once every other week
- Late stay requirements based on staffing needs

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified
- ARRT or ARDMS
- Cardiac Interventional (CI)
- CVT (Cardiovascular Technician)
Preferred Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- ARRT Advanced
- Advanced certifications in Vascular Interventional, Cardiac-Interventional, or Cardiovascular preferred but not required
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related field
- Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Experience with:
- C-Arm operation
- Contrast administration
- Biopsies
- IR/Angio/Special Procedures
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided
- No on-site parking generally, but parking available for overnight and weekend shifts
- Physical exam required annually, confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Drug screen required within 90 days of start, updated annually
- Background checks including criminal, education verification, and various federal/state screenings required
- Immunization and health document requirements include:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers
- Hepatitis B titer or series, or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended; declination requires mask use during patient encounters
- Competency exams and ongoing certification verifications required (e.g., medication test, EKG competency for applicable roles)
- Two positive supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
Summary
This is a travel contract position for an experienced IR Tech with strong skills in interventional radiology procedures and cardiac interventions. The role requires flexibility for call and late shifts, adherence to strict certification and health requirements, and prior travel assignment experience. The facility is a large teaching hospital using Cerner for charting.
