Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Abilene, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• This is an extension position (do not submit new applications).
• Employment type: Travel/Contract.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• State License Verification: Must be verified within 30 days of start.
• NURSYS Verification: Required within 30 days for RN, LPN/LVN, AP.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted.
• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted (as applicable).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required as applicable.
• CHEMO (Chemotherapy Certification): Required as applicable.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required as applicable.
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required as applicable.
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course): Required as applicable.
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required as applicable.
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication): Required for Telemetry nurses with up to 2 attempts to pass.
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required as applicable.
• Tech Cert Verification - National: Required within 30 days of start for Allied/Non-RN candidates.
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement: Required and updated annually.
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing: Required for Telemetry RNs.

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7 Year Background Check: Must be current within 1 year of start and updated annually. Includes SSN trace, counties, national, OFAC, sex offender, motor vehicle (for home health), and education verification.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• HHS/OIG Check: Required within 30 days of start.
• Education Verification: Highest level required; transcript or diploma acceptable.
• State Specific Searches: Texas DADS Employability Status Check and Texas Employee Misconduct Registry required within 30 days of start (for tracking and compliance).

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam: Required within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Fit Mask: Required (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S); annual update required.
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Vaccine required within 10 years of start.
• Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Required; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing. For positive PPD responders, negative chest X-ray within 5 years and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters required if titers are negative or equivocal. Must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series (3), or declination required; boosters or declination post titer acceptable. Must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; booster required if titer is negative or equivocal. Must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC required within 10 business days prior to start; facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana. Positive results lead to automatic cancellation. Must have plan to complete within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination (2025-26): Required from 10/1/2025 through 3/31/2026; religious or medical exemptions accepted.

Facility Specific Requirements

• Orientation includes mandatory modules (~3-4 hours) and parking is provided at no cost.
